    1. The three most common type of telescopes that people use from home are the refractor and reflector. These are the same concept as Lippershey's and Newton's.

    1. A common use for the very early telescopes were used by merchants and pirates to see the cargo on other ships. Galileo was the first person credited with pointing the telescope to the sky.

    1. In my opinion Grote Reber had the biggest impact on the evolution of telescopes. I think his radio telescope was the first step to the process of eventually getting to the ultraviolet, x-ray, and gamma-ray telescopes that we have today.
