    1. On a general lifespan, however due to the differences in stars masses some stars live longer than others. We have observed white dwarfs in the universe. Black dwarfs however are the star that is hypothetical because we haven't seen it yet.

    1. You can tell by the brightness of the star if it is low, intermediate, or a high mass star. You can also use the H-R diagram to help you determine what you are looking at. The answer your question yes, you can tell the difference just by looking at them.

  8. Damage defined as physical harm caused to something in such a way as to impair its value, usefulness, or normal function does not happen at all. Normally there is very little "somethings" around stars to there is no damage. however, if there was something like a planet by a star before it turns to a super nova it would totally destroy the object if it was close enough.
