    1. It is believed at that dark matter gives off "dark radiation" so we would be able to detect signals from the radiation given off

    1. White dwarf stars are considered to be very simple objects. Their fundamental properties can be measured with little ambiguity. While MACHOS are much more complex, after their death.

    1. WIMP particles contain their own matter, and if that matter mixes with other kinds of matter, it could be a horrible mixture, but since WIMP matter is a part of dark matter it stabilizes it.
